It's Mardi Gras Galvestion time again with debutant balls, parades and an endless sea of beads! The celebration ends March 8th so get down to Galvestion for the festivities. // Don't miss the annual Crawfish Festival in the Heights located in the Sterling Bank parking lot at 414 W 19th Street between Shepherd and Yale. The fun is on Sat. March 5th starting at 11 am. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. // March is also the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo month running until the 20th. Catch live acts including Sugarland, Kiss, Kid Rock, Janet Jackson, Rascal Flatts and much more this year. Get your tickets now because they go quick (I'm going to Sugarland this year). // Cirque du Soleil's OVO is coming to Houston and I can't wait! This one promises to be a great show and it's under a big top at Sam Houston Park. // Samba Nights in the Heights looks like a lot of fun with live music, food, dancing and a Samba presentation, Sat. Mar. 5th at the Brazilian Arts Foundation. Event starts at 7 pm. // The Houston Flash Mob will be doing ABBA Dancing Queen, Sunday, Mar. 6th at Market Street in the Woodlands starting at 3 pm. This is something you really should see if you haven't experienced a Flash Mob before. It's free and cool for the whole family. // If you are looking for something unique to take the whole family then the Buffalo Bayou Regatta is for you. The race starts at 9 am and events run until 2 pm. // Take a date to the Joe Dirt Feast at Alamo Draft House, Thurs. Mar. 10th at 7 pm. There's a 4-course meal sure to please that includes "thunderbeans & wieners", "the janitor's catch" and more! // Learn all about our great state when Texas! The Exhibition opens Mar. 6th at the Houston Museum of Natural Science.
