There are tons of fun things to do this month...
Classic Kung Fu Movie Nights every Tuesday night in May at Jenni's Noodle House Post Oak location. // Saint Arnold Pale Ale Dinner at Benjy's on Wed. May 4th at 6:30 pm. Each course has been created to pair amber, wheat, brown and pale ale. The evening will also feature an in depth discussion with Saint Arnold founder/brewer, Brock Wagner. Tix are $47.95 pp. // Catch a Blues & Burgers lunch every Wednesday in May at Discover Green starting at noon. A burger and live music for lunch? It doesn't get any better than that! // Thurs. May 5th is Thirsty Thursday at Market Square Park, a doggy friendly event featuring live music, food and drink specials. // Second Annual Moms Night Out at the Galleria Thurs. May 5th at 5:30 pm. Event is free. // Don't forget the Houston International Festival highlighting "The Silk Road Journey Across Asia" this weekend May 7-8th. // Second Saturday and Twilight Boat Rides on Buffalo Bayou take place on Sat. May 7th at 5 pm, the 14th at 10 am and the 21st at 5 pm. Tix are $7 for adults and $5 for the kiddos. // Stages Repertory Theatre presents "Four Places" running through May 22nd. // Texas Beer Festival is Sat. May 7th from 1 pm to 10 pm at the Humble Convention Center Arena. // Thursday Night Concert Series is in full swing again at Discover Green. You don't want to miss Houston's Blues Queen Carolyn Wonderland on May 19th and Del Castillo and Norma Zenteno on May 26th. // Urban Market Houston Antique Show is the weekend of May 14-15th at 3101 Smith Street @ Elgin. There is a $25 entry fee for Saturday that includes early buying, drinks & hors d'oeuvres, and re-entry on Sunday. Sunday shows are $5 entry fee and children are free. // The Grass Roots perform on May 14th at Miller Outdoor Theater. The show starts at 8 pm and watch the band perform hit after Top 40 hit, including “Midnight Confessions,” “Temptation Eyes” and “Baby Hold On." Houston's own The Fab 5 opens the show! // Join Thia McKann and Alejandro Chaoul in an engaging lecture, meditation and tea tasting at "An Evening of Tea and Meditation", Mon. May 16th 6-8 pm at The Jung Center. // The annual Art Car Parade and events take place the weekend of May 21st. It's fantastic, fun and FREE so make sure you get their early to get a good spot for viewing. Parade starts at 1 pm on Sun. May 22nd. VIPit The official party of the Houston Art Car Parade offers the absolute best views and features a deluxe picnic lunch from some of Houston’s best restaurants. Shaded bleacher seating, fun family activities, gift bags and live entertainment make VIPit THE place to be on parade day. You can catch a sneak peak of the parade at Discovery Green on Sat.
