The holidays are a magical time when Houston comes alive!
Kick-off the holiday season at Martinis and Mistletoe for a HMNS young professionals happy hour at La Griglia on Thursday, Dec. 1st from 6-8 pm. Festivities include cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and conversation with fellow Health Museum supporters. // Join the Houston Heights 19th Street Merchants for their annual Holiday on 19th celebration Friday, Dec. 2nd 6-10 pm! Enjoy shopping and bring your friends and family for live music, hot chocolate, strolling Santa's and more! // Mayor Parker will host the official Holiday Celebration at City Hall’s Hermann Square Park on Friday, Dec. 2nd at 6pm. The annual event will include music, a fireworks extravaganza and, of course, the lighting of the City’s massive holiday tree. // Relax with a cup of hot cider and take in the holiday cheer on special Thursdays and Fridays in December at Bayou Bend for their annual Yuletide tradition. // The Texas Bluebonnet Holiday Wine Trail celebrates the holiday season by giving guests the opportunity to enjoy the 10 wineries along the Highway 105 corridor. Each ticket includes two select wine tastings paired with a unique holiday dish at each winery. The trail is open Saturday & Sunday, Dec. 3rd-4th and 10th-11th. // Grab a brew with your dogs and friends, get your dog's photo taken with Santa and more at the Jingle Bell Bark & Brew, Saturday Dec. 3rd 1-4 pm at the Boneyard Drinkery benefiting a local animal rescue. // Company Artist Todd Waite reprises his role as "Crumpet the Elf" in the outlandish and true chronicles of David Sedaris' experience as a worker in Macy's SantaLand display in the Alley Theatre's "The Santaland Diaries" through Dec. 31st. // BARC Foundation's A Pawsh Holiday Happening at Saks Fifth Avenue is Sunday, Dec. 4th at noon. This adopt and shop party features a raffle for a chance to win a weekend with a Jaguar from Momentum, Houston Ballet Nutcracker tickets with junior patrons membership, a paint ball party for four or a pampered pet package and more. // Help celebrate the Fourth Annual Christmas Tail at Hotel ICON on Monday, Dec. 5th from 6-8 pm benefiting Lucky Dog Rescue. Enjoy a showcase and auction of incredible and edible gingerbread doghouses created by some of Houston's most talented chefs! // Sip candy cane cocktails, take photos under the mistletoe and sample delicious bites from West Ave's stellar lineup of restaurants at CultureMap's Second Annual Holiday Soiree, Tuesday, Dec. 6th at West Ave starting at 6 pm.
