Montgomery County Texas Road Bond ~ VOTE!

Montgomery County Road Bond 2015 ~ VOTE!We have a very important vote coming up for all residents in Montgomery County, Texas!  As our county has experienced tremendous growth, our current roads are at an all-time jammed-up, gridlocked and frustrating situation.  The good news is that people are continuing to move here and desire to reside and work in Montgomery County. With this growth comes the need to evaluate our current mobility with the continued increased population that is expected in the future.  Any delay from this point forward in easing our traffic will indeed result in less than favorable traffic nightmares!  Anyone who drives in any area of our county has experienced the challenges that we face in this area. If you are a business owner, a home owner or work in Montgomery County you need to consider votingYES for this bond issue.  We depend on good roads that are efficient in moving traffic to and from our businesses, our homes, to our schools, shopping, etc.  Imagine what voting this down will do?  Back to the drawing board and more delays to roads that needed to be addressed years ago! The road bond for 2015 includes 77 road projects all over the county.  Click here for the FACTS regarding this upcoming bond vote.  Many have raised their voices in opposition over this bond vote simply because they feel that it extends the main roadway in The Woodlands.  It dead ends currently at FM 2978 where the traffic comes to a halt from the current 4 lanes and T-bones into a small two-lane road that runs north and south.   The traffic on FM 2978 is experiencing extremely high traffic volumes as those folks trying to get further west are forced to travel north or south in gridlocked traffic and then snake their way through small roadways in order to head west.  The explosion of growth in the western section of our county has been happening for many years. This is only one of the 77 proposed road bond projects!  There are numerous other projects that are experiencing the same gridlock each and every day!  It is really short-sighted for those voicing their opinion about voting down this bond because they don't like one aspect of it.  In the long run, roads will and must be extended, improved and widened.  The traffic counts all over the county are evidence of this. Early voting begins April 27 - May 2, 2015.  The actual vote will be on Saturday, May 9, 2015.  Please make sure that you make the time to vote on this incredibly important election for our roads.  The county needs to Keep Montgomery County Moving!       "Have you fully lived today?"
