Home Hasn't Sold ~ Seller Has Some Responsibility!

Home Hasn't Sold ~ Seller Has Some Responsibility!A client of one of my agents is upset that their home has not sold.  They claim that it has not been marketed properly, hasn't seen it in the local real estate magazine rag that sits at the car wash and are upset that the showing feedback has been negative. They are telling my agent that she is simply not doing her job.  This young woman has spent countless hours marketing his home.  Professional pictures, blog, social media, local MLS, a well-know Farm & Ranch site ad and 3 months in the local real estate magazine!  This doesn't even begin to cover the time and effort that she has put in to this home. What they are not saying is: They refuses to take down all of the stuffed animal head trophies. The urine-soaked carpets from the pets have not been cleaned. The bird aviary area from the garage into the house is full of feathers and poop. The out-dated, highly personalized paint they refuse to consider to change to a neutral. The extreme clutter has not been dealt with. Seller's do have a responsibility in helping their home sell.  You can pull your listing and head to another agent but if you refuse to listen to the professional advice, your home will most likely SIT on the market.  Making your home "show ready" is vital in the success of a sale. So don't blame your real estate professional when you won't take responsibility for your part!  We do this everyday and we know what will sell a home and what will prevent a home from selling.  Listening to sound advice rather than the blame game is essential!      "Have you fully lived today?"
