Creating New Beliefs ~ Inspiration Series

Creating New Beliefs ~ Inspiration SeriesWe all have a belief system. Some of us have positive and fresh belief systems while others may possess negative and "old news" belief systems. Have you ever really stopped to evaluate your own belief system? And, what do I mean by "belief" system? Basically your belief system is what and how you think.  What are those thoughts going around inside of your head on a moment-by-moment time frame? Do you find yourself mentally questioning yourself, or are you purposeful and confident? Do you find yourself being judgmental of those around you or are you thinking of ways to "build" others up? Maybe you find yourself constantly telling yourself negative things rather than recognizing that you have value and worth? Our belief systems began the moment we were born. Every sound, sight, smell, experience began forming our belief systems. We all know that not all experiences are positive. Many experience suffering and tragedy at an early stage in life which can ultimately affect our belief system. Some people can take a negative situation and turn it into gold while others are not able to. So why is this?  Why are some people able to handle difficult situations better than others? Many times it is simply due to choosing to get caught up in a pattern of beliefs.  For others, they have an uncanny ability to be like a cat and land on their feet no matter what life throws at them. Therefore, being able to recognize a negative belief system is key.  Secondly, being able to pinpoint how to change this belief system is essential in being able to move forward.  Sounds easy but as we all know, this is truly difficult. Here are a few key things that I learned from Mr. John Maxwell last week regarding this topic: You cannot outwork a limiting belief. Your current results are NOT a reflection on future results unless you choose them to be. Belief drives all behavior.Define your negative thoughts and work on them to turn them into positive ones. We become what we think about. Your thoughts DO matter! You choose your own thoughts. Great stuff isn't it?  Decide today that you are going to be more intentional with your thinking! Recognize that some of your belief's may be limiting you. Deciphering these negative beliefs can put you on a completely different path in your life! What beliefs do you need to change? What are you going to do to change them? When are you going to implement the changes you need to? Thought provoking questions! "Have you fully LIVED today?  The Value of Valuing PeopleAre You Living Your Dream?Living IntentionallyLearning How to Think SuccessfullyDeveloping a Think Tank Are You Growth Focused         "Have you fully lived today?"
