College Football vs. Real Estate

College Football vs. Real EstateI really, really love College football!  This certainly has been an exciting year within the sport.  Exciting, close games with many teeth-clenching moments!   So what does this have to do with real estate?  Well nothing really unless of course you are out working and must miss a few games here or there!  Oh the sacrifices we make. What I can tell you about the sport of college football that ranks right up there with my real estate career are many things.  Surprisingly, there are some similarities with these two.  Let's take a look: College Football vs. Real Estate:      *Both require skill.  That's right, real estate does indeed require one to know their game, and to       continue to improve and to be a downright pro!  Our clients expect this and deserve this.      *Practice is key.  Continue to learn, stay up with the latest plays, and of course, know your drills.      *Being able to execute is also critical.  Things can get dicey and stressful during any real estate       transaction therefore, being able to get the job done even when the clock is ticking down is essential.      *You must be tough!  No doubt that real estate requires one to have a thick skin.  How we hold up       during the difficult transactions many times determines our future success.      *You will WIN some and you will LOSE some.  This is just part of the game of real estate.  Learning       this tough lesson early on is important.  Also learning to move on after a loss is crucial.      *Great coaching is ESSENTIAL!  No matter how long you have been in this business, having a coach or       mentor makes a big difference. Whether you are a college football fan or not, if you are in real estate you have certainly experienced the rigors of the field. Each day that you suit up for the day, many preparations have been put into motion. How you handle the ball will determine how well you play the game. As we head into 2016, take a moment to know which areas you need to brush up on.  Get your game plan ready and keep your skill level sharp.  Plan on making this your year to be in the real estate super bowl game this time next year! Oh, and go Michigan State at the Cotton Bowl!  BEAT BAMA!  (Just had to put that in there!)         "Have you fully lived today?"
