Seems like Springtime motivates buyers to start looking, so smart sellers will be spiffing up their homes and getting them ready to put on the market -- starting with the yard and landscaping, which is like icing on the cake! If you are planning to put your home on the market soon, try to do so in time for buyers to write a contract on your home and get it under contract before April 30 -- the deadline for eligible buyers to take advantage of the $6,500 or $8,000 tax credit. If it is under contract by then, it has until June 30 to close.
