Planning is underway for The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival 2011, set for Saturday, April 9 from 10 am – 7 pm and Sunday, April 10 from 10 am – 6 pm along The Woodlands Waterway® and in Town Green Park in The Woodlands Town Center.

This juried art show featuring 200 international, national and regional fine artists will be celebrating its sixth year, and has now become an annual tradition in The Woodlands. The Planning Committee, comprised of local artists, teachers, art enthusiasts and marketing professionals, is under the direction of Jenny Wright, recently appointed festival director. The festival is presented by The Woodlands Waterway Arts Council, Inc., a 501 (c) 3 organization.

In addition, The WWAF just launched a new website. The colorful, easy-to-navigate new site, located at www.woodlandsartsfestival.com, was designed by Websoft Publishing Company of The Woodlands. It features a rotating banner showcasing the wide range of artwork that is available in a variety of mediums by 200 international, national and regional fine artists at this annual juried art show.
