Low mortgage rates likely to continue through 2012, experts say

The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage has been at or below record lows of 4 percent for several weeks. This is making home affordability more attractive, but how much longer will these rates stay low? If and when they do rise, they will most likely stay at historical lows. Will people take advantage of these rates to buy homes?
