From Housingwire.com:  Over the last 18 months, the federal government and the enterprises that it sponsors have taken several significant steps in an effort to open up the credit box and ensure more lending is done to more people.

Exactly one year ago, at the 2014 version of the Mortgage Bankers Association Convention & Expo, Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Mel Watt announced a number of policy steps aimed at increasing mortgage credit availability.
