Katy Texas

Katy features some of the Houston’s areas best schools.  This Houston suburb is also seeing high-level business and health care expansion in the community.  Most major restaurant, grocery stores and retail chains now have locations in or near Katy to take advantage of the fast expanding community.

Despite all of the growth, Katy real estate is still a sleeper community for many of its residents.  Many Katy residents commute into Houston or other nearby communities.  Families locate to Katy for the schools and master planned communities then hope to find that the commute is manageable.

The expansion of Interstate 10 and West Park Tollway have made Katy one of the best commutes into Houston, the Medical Center and the Galleria Area.  Two of Katy’s newest subdivisions are laid out with the commuter in mind, however, they truly offer so much more to their residents.

Grand Harbor

Grand Harbor is located just moments away from I-10 and 99.  This dream location for commuters offers so much more to the families that are lucky enough to call Grand Harbor home.  Grand Harbor features sparkling lakes, and fantastic neighborhood amenities, and is just moments away from one of Katy’s best Golf Courses.

Additionally the community is close to Katy Mills Mall, Bass Pro Shop and the charming Old Town Katy.  Great dining abounds within moments as well.  Families can enjoy a strong sense community; late night walks around the lakes, and the community areas.

Grand Harbor is zoned to the highly respected Katy High School, winner of two recent state football championships.  Katy High School, and honestly the entire community have highly competitive sporting programs including Katy Youth Football and Katy Youth Basketball.  Still the sporting programs take a back seat to the academic focus of the amazing school district.

Grand Harbor is being developed by Centex, the developer of such highly acclaimed as King Lakes.  Homes in this community range from around $140,000 to a little over $200,000.  Homes range in size from around 1800 square feet to around 3000 square feet.  Grand Harbor was truly designed with family in mind. 

 

Grand Enclave

Like Grand Harbor, Grand Enclave is located just moments away from I-10 and 99 and close to most of Katy Shopping and Dining Opportunities.  This sister community is also built by Centex; however, it is designed for a completely different client base.  Grand Enclave is a gated community designed singles or empty nest buyers.

This community is perfect for anyone looking to downsize and enjoy the value of a small-gated community with great access for commuters.  Homes are smaller than Grand Harbor and therefore slightly less expensive.  However, they feature the same great quality as Grand Harbor.

These two communities can only add to the value of Katy’s expanding economy and influence.  I can highly recommend both communities to anyone moving to the Katy, West Houston or Energy Corridor areas.
