This is going to be a busy, fun-filled weekend in Cypress with the 4th Annual Cy-Fair Home and Garden Show happing at the Berry Center and Cy-Fest 2011 taking place on Hempstead Rd!
Cy-Fest 2011, “A Taste of Louisiana”, is a three day festival from Friday, March 25th through Sunday, March 27th. The festival will include food, rides, carnival games, and live music with March Chesnutt headlining the musical acts. If you are like me and recognize the name Mark Chesnutt but are not sure what he sings, this is from the Mark Chesnutt Wikipedia article.
Chesnutt has charted more than thirty singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including eight Number One singles. He has also released eleven studio albums and a Greatest Hits package. His first three albums — Too Cold at Home (1990), Longnecks & Short Stories (1992), andAlmost Goodbye (1993) — and his 1996 Greatest Hits album have all achieved RIAA platinum certification in the United States

The cost is $5 for adults and $2 for kids 12 and under.
The festival will be on Hempstead Rd between Skinner and Spring Cypress behind the shopping center with Best Buy, Target, Petsmart, etc.
