Fox News — Houston Issues Mandatory Water Restrictions
What if we live in the Cypress area? Are we under mandatory water restrictions?
Since Cypress is an unincorporated area of Harris County and not a city like the city of Houston, Cypress does not have the authority to impose mandatory water restrictions. However, your local MUD district can impose restrictions. If you do not know what your MUD District number, you can find out my searching for your address on HCAD.org and finding your HUD number under the “Exemptions and Jurisdictions” section.
The MUD name should be a link to get your more contact information for your MUD. If not, just try Googling the name.
Here in Coles Crossing, we are separated into two MUD districts, MUD 364 and MUD 365, each with their on web sites.
