Eagle Drive Improvements in Mount Belvieu, Texas

Currently the City of Mont Belvieu is planning on widening Eagle Drive into a
4 lane boulevard type corridor with sidewalks on each side. The expansion
of Eagle Drive will alleviate traffic congestion currently experienced, and in the future, as
the flow of traffic is expected to double in the next several years. The
new drive will reduce traffic accident by 30% and will develop the City into a
safe pedestrian friendly community. The improvements to Eagle Drive
will transform the road into a safe and scenic corridor for the City
of Mont Belvieu's visitors and citizens. Bids will go out in October/November with an
estimated start time of January 2011. Currently the road design is 30%
complete.
Cost: $11,000,000.00
Start Date: October 2010
End Date: November 2012
