Houses are like people, when making "a first impression" with a buyer. What is the first thing a buyer sees when they drive up to your house? Your yard, the exterior of your home, your front door!
If your yard is piled high with leaves, limbs hanging off the trees from the last storm, paint chipping on all the woodwork, the front door faded by the sun, cob webs and dirt all over the front door entrance, believe me, they won't ever want to see the inside. How does the yard look? Dead Grass and vines growing up the gutter does not look inviting! A buyer assumes if it looks like this on the outside, that probably means the interior is needing "work" too. They DON'T buy houses they never enter!
So practice getting "a first impression" of your home by driving by all the other homes on your street or area and see how yours compares. Can you "see" the flaws of your own house? If you want buyers to see your home, start by cleaning up, sprucing up the exterior and yard!
YOU DON'T GET A SECOND CHANCE TO MAKE A FIRST IMPRESSION!
