Purpose: Discuss potential cuts in state funding of CFISD
The CFISD Community Legislative Committee (CLC) invites you to join us for an informational meeting regarding the 82
nd Legislative Session and issues pertaining to CFISD. As you are aware, the current major shortfall of revenue to the state is predicted to result in painful cuts in the state's funding of education. Because state funding for CFISD is already inequitable compared to surrounding districts and is below the state average, continued drastic cuts will impact the quality ofthe education your children receive and, over time, erode property values in this district. At thismeeting, you will receive information describing the problem, how it could affect our schools and the education of our children, and what you can do about it.Cypress
