Cypress, Texas New Developments

Cypress, Texas is experiencing phenomenal growth.  Cypress is located just 20 miles outside of Houston, Texas.  Communities are growing at a remarkable speed.  Cypress is now home to many thriving businesses as well.

 I am sure we have all seen the Cheddars Restaurant under construction in front of the Randalls at Barker Cypress and Highway 290.  Cheddars is a chain restaurant found throughout the state of Texas.

On the East side of Cheddars is a new furniture store that will soon be open.

Behind Cheddars we will have 2 hotels, A Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites so your visitors can stay and play while enjoying the Cypress, TX area.

Construction has also began at Mueschke and Highway 290 for a Gringo’s Mexican Food Restaurant.  Yay!  Gringos is coming to Cypress, Texas!

The development is occurring across the street from Buc-ees.  A total of  6 Tracts of land, encompassing a total of 8.6 acres have been plotted for use in this development.  Gringos will occupy the center tract, so that leaves 5 more tracts to be used for other purposes. Suggestions, anyone?

Pad site at Fry Rd and Hempstead is an Auto Repair Shop.  Pad site in front of Alicia’s Restaurant is Raising Cane’s, a fast food chicken Finger franchise.  Pad site next to Home Depot on the corner of Highway 290 and Spring Cypress will be Qdoba, a fast food Mexican Food Restaurant.  The development of the Grand Parkway is still struggling to come to fruition.  Some headway has been made

Grand parkway News - Most of the residents of Cypress and Katy are looking forward to the continuation of the Grand Parkway, Segment F1.  This segment of the Grand Parkway will link the two suburbs of Katy and Cypress, easing transportation and congestion.  As of today, the state of Texas is still trying to find the monies to fund the project. 

The development at the northwest corner of Barker Cypress and Highway 290 is anchored by HEB.

Christus Medical has closed on 33 acre tract that that wraps around HEB site for a regional medical development.

HCA (Hospital Corporation of America) has closed on a 64 acre site at the southeast corner of Highway 290 and Huffmeister.

Memorial Herman Hospital is opening an 80,000 SF Medical/Mixed Use facility on a 25 acre parcel at the northwest corner of Highway 290 and Highway 6. The facility will include a 40,000 SF Medical Office Building (MOB) with an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) and an Imaging Center (IC) located on either side of the MOB.

North Cypress Medical Center is a 180-bed hospital and a 150,000 SF Medical Office Building on the northwest corner of Huffmeister and Hwy 290. Medical Office Building is currently 95% occupied. There will be two additional medical office buildings totaling 100,000 SF constructed at the site in the near future. The office complex will employs over 1,000 people.

The Coles Crossing Subdivision contains 2,619 lots. Currently there are 2,000 families that have purchased homes in this subdivision. The homes range from the $130,000s to $700,000s. The home builders include Coventry Homes, Darling Homes, Perry Homes, Plantation Homes, and David Weekly Homes.

There are currently 10,543 lots developed and under construction in a 2.5 mile radius.
