Weather forecasts are calling for a scorching hot Week across Texas with temperatures reaching 100 degrees plus and potentially lasting through Wednesday.

I want you to be aware so you can reduce your usage, keep your electric bill lower, and help reduce the overall load on the Texas power grid.

As you may recall, Texas had record energy use and temperatures last August that caused rolling blackouts throughout the state. While we are not in that situation, we'd like to keep you informed so you can help.

You can help by shutting off unnecessary lights and electrical appliances throughout the day and by delaying laundry and other high demand electric appliance usage until later in the evening.

The simplest thing to do is to turn up your thermostat by 2 degrees.

We can all take part to help prevent black out's across our home town..
