US 290 Program Construction Lane Closures

Listed below are scheduled lane closures as of February 28, 2013. Note that all construction activities and closures are subject to weather conditions and schedule changes.

 

PROJECT K (IH 610/US 290)

 

This Weekend: (3/1/2013)

 

- DIRECTORS ROW will be closed at the US 290 westbound frontage road, beginning Friday, March 1 at 8 a.m. thru 5 a.m., Monday, March 4.  Detour to Directors Row from IH 610 North Loop.

 

- US 290 eastbound frontage road at the W. 34th STREET entrance ramp to MANGUM, will be closed overnight 9 p.m., Friday, March 1 to 5 a.m., Saturday, March 2.  Traffic will be able to enter the US 290 eastbound mainlanes from the entrance ramp, or turn right on W. 34th Street, left on Antoine, left on Hempstead, left on Dacoma to US 290.

 

- US 290 eastbound exit ramp to MANGUM/DACOMA, will be closed nightly 9 p.m.

to 5 a.m., Friday, March 1 and Saturday, March 2.  Detour to IH 610 southbound, exit Old Katy Road and U-turn to IH 610 northbound, US 290 westbound, exit Mangum/Dacoma.

 

- US 290 westbound exit ramp to MANGUM/DACOMA will be closed Saturday, March

2 and Sunday, March 3, daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Detour to the W. 34th Street exit and U-turn to Mangum.

 

- ELLA north- and southbound underneath IH 610 NORTH LOOP will be closed Saturday, March 2 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Northbound detour right on IH 610 eastbound frontage road and U-turn at N. Durham to the westbound frontage road to Ella.  Southbound detour right on IH 610 westbound frontage road to E. TC Jester, turn left to IH 610 eastbound frontage to Ella.

 

- MANGUM north- and southbound underneath US 290 will be closed overnight on Saturday, March 2 from 9 p.m. to Sunday at 5 a.m.  Northbound detour right on US 290 eastbound frontage to Dacoma, turn left to westbound frontage to Mangum.  Southbound detour right on US 290 westbound frontage to W. 34th Street, turn left to eastbound frontage to Mangum.

Existing closures:

 

- IH 610 WEST LOOP northbound frontage road at 12th STREET is CLOSED continuously through March 6, 2013. Detour right on 12th Street, left on Hempstead, left on N. Post Oak to 12th Street or continue to Old Katy Road.

 

- IH 610 NORTH LOOP eastbound frontage road at W T C JESTER BLVD., the U-turn remains closed until further notice.

 

- IH 610 NORTH LOOP eastbound entrance ramp from E T C JESTER is closed until July 1, 2013. Detour to the entrance ramp past Ella.

 

- IH 610 NORTH LOOP east- and westbound frontage road at ELLA, the U-turns remain closed until further notice.

 

- IH 610 NORTH LOOP westbound frontage road from E. TC JESTER BLVD to DIRECTORS ROW, two inside lanes closed through March 15, 2013.

 

- IH 610 NORTH LOOP westbound frontage road from DIRECTORS ROW to DACOMA, one outside lane is closed daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through March 15, 2013.

 

- IH 610 NORTH LOOP westbound entrance ramp from W. T C JESTER BLVD. is closed through January 31, 2014.

 

The White Oak Bayou Hike and Bike Trail along TC JESTER underneath IH 610 NORTH LOOP is closed through January 2014. Pedestrians should access the eastern sidewalk on E. T.C. Jester from Ella to 34th Street. Orange "Share the Road" signs have been installed on E. T.C. Jester for bicyclists and vehicles to share the roadway from Ella to 34th Street.

 

US 290

 

- US 290 westbound frontage road at DACOMA, the U-turn is closed through March 20, 2013. Detour through the signalized intersection.

TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM MANAGEMENT (intersection projects):

- US 290 east- and westbound from WEST Rd to CYPRESS ROSE HILL, one alternating lane is closed through May 1, 2013.
