3 Ways to Turn Off a Houston Texas Home Buyer

Before listing your home for sale make sure you learn more about 3 ways you can turn off a Houston Texas Home Buyer so you don’t make these same mistakes.

A Dirty House

One of the first ways you can turn off a Houston Texas Home Buyer is by having a dirty house.

To make sure your home is thoroughly clean you should do the following:

Your Home Smells

Besides dirt, another way you can easily turn off a prospective home buyer is by having a smelly home.

Yes, you plan on listing your home for sale, but before you do, make sure you invite over friends and or family members then ask them to think like buyers and tell you honestly if your home smells or not.

To get rid of odors in your home consider doing the following.

  1. Place dryer sheets in vents.
  2. Air our your home thoroughly before buyers arrive.
  3. Empty the trash from your home.
  4. Remove potentially stinky items from your refrigerator.
  5. Use a deodorizer on your carpets to remove smells.

You Didn’t Stage Your Home

Last of all, but most important, if your home is clean and smells great, you can still make the mistake of turning off home buyers but not staging your home to sell.
