Residents south of Nasa Parkway finally have an All-You-Can-Eat Soup & Salad Bar, and it recently opened in League City! The Soup & Salad House, run by Joann Meguess, is located at 1260 East League City Parkway in the shopping center anchored by LA Fitness and the Johnson Space Center Federal Credit Union (Tuscan Lakes Branch). They are open daily from 11 am to 8 pm, and you can check out their menu items on their website.
The Soup & Salad House offers an “All You Can Eat” Buffet which includes: salad bar, soup/potato bar, fruit bar & bread for only $7.28 (w/o tax). The evening my husband and I visited this establishment for the first time, we were cheerfully greeted as we arrived for an early dinner. We both decided on the buffet and filled our plates with fresh fixin’s. We also selected soup; he chose baked potato and I chose the cream of poblano (two bowls, in fact!). Pleasantly filled, our bill total was around $20 which is hard to find (for 2 dining out) in many venues. The restaurant was beginning to fill when we left, so the ‘word’ is getting out about this new option in our area.
If the last name Meguess sounds familiar, it is because the family also runs Stomp’s Burger Joint located in Bacliff. Besides the buffet, the menu also includes made to order specialty sandwiches & wraps, specialty salads, pasta and a kid’s menu. I am sure the kid’s (and probably adults as well) won’t forget to stop at the soft-serve ice cream station before walking out the door! I know we will be back to The Soup & Salad House again soon!
