Reminder: The 2013 Atlantic Hurricane Season begins on June 1st and ends on November 30th. With that in mind, The City of Seabrook Office of Emergency Management will be hosting a Hurricane Preparedness Workshop at Seabrook City Hall on May 11th, at 9 am. The workshop will be held at the Seabrook City Hall, located at 1700 First Street.
This year’s workshop will feature local businesses and organizations who help both residents and businesses prepare or recover from hurricane disasters. Presentations will be made by Jeff Galyean, Seabrook Management Coordinator, and Dan Reilly, Houston/Galveston National Weather Service Meteorologist.
This free workshop is open to the community. The primary goal of the workshop is to encourage residents to be prepared and understand what actions should be taken to reduce the effects should a hurricane hit the area.
