The Texas State Comptroller, Susan Combs, has announced this year’s Sales Tax Holiday will be held from August 8th through August 10th; the dates for the sales tax holiday are set by the Legislature.
The law exempts most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced under $100 from sales and use taxes. The list of qualifying clothing, footwear and other items and the list of qualifying school supplies can be found on the state’s website.
