A study recently made by Fiserv, a real estate research firm shows that prices of homes in The Woodlands and in the United States are expected to rise 1% from these last months of the year up to the end of 2013. Prices could even increase 3.4% by the second quarter of 2013 to the second quarter of 2014, which would be benefitial for real estate in The Woodlands.

This new trend creates a new playing field in The Woodlands Real Estate and other regions in the country, because homeowners will now be able to sell, while people looking to purchase a new home in The Woodlands will have to wait, as prices aren’t falling any longer.

The Mortgage Bankers Association forecasts that more and more house hunters will start coming off the sidelines, with new-home loans for purchases expected to jump 55%, based in dollars, in 2013

However, sellers of homes in The Woodlands should wait a little longer, as prices might rise a bit more during the following months. Fiserv forecasts that between now and 2017, homes will gain 3.3% a year in value. Even if it isn’t a great increase, the market isn’t static anymore.
