Arts in the Park, offered by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department, will be held at Rob Fleming Park in the Village of Creekside Park on Saturday, September 17, 2011, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Arts in the Park is a venue for local artists to exhibit their creations, giving attendees the opportunity to purchase original work produced by these artists. Whether it be unique woodwork, painting, crafts or jewelry, all aspects of the visual arts will be on display.
“September’s Arts in the Park gives us the opportunity to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month,” said Township Parks and Recreation Director, Chris Nunes. “We invite everyone to attend and enjoy the art as well as live performances showcasing Hispanic heritage.”
Live musical entertainment begins at 4 p.m. and continues throughout the entire event. Children ages 12 and under will enjoy Kidzone, where they can explore their creative side with an art project and a moonwalk.
The event is free for the entire family, and concessions will be available. The first 300 people to visit The Woodlands Township tent will receive a free Arts in the Park T-shirt (while supplies last).
Arts in the Park is presented by Liberty Mutual; entertainment sponsor is the Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
