The Woodlands Convention and Visitors Bureau has won seven Pinnacle Awards from the International Festival and Events Association, the premier association supporting festival and event professionals worldwide. The awards are considered the most prestigious recognition in the festival and events industry.
Entries from The Woodlands CVB were judged from hundreds submitted from among the world’s top festivals and events, from the Pasadena Tournament of Roses to Singapore’s World Gourmet Summit.
Four awards were presented to The Woodlands CVB for Holidays in The Woodlands, three for the Red, Hot & Blue Festival and one for The Woodlands CVB’s quarterly newsletter.
“These awards speak to the efforts of our staff and sponsors to produce world-class events which attract thousands each year, making The Woodlands a premier entertainment, shopping and dining destination,” said Nick Wolda, president of The Woodlands CVB.
The Woodlands has become of the premier areas to celebrate America’s Independence over the Fourth of July Weekend. Though it has to cancel the fireworks show this year due to historic drought conditions, The Red, Hot & Blue Festival and all associated events drew thousands of visitors to The Woodlands.
Holidays in The Woodlands includes Lighting of the Doves and International Winter On The Waterway (iWOW), which combine to attract thousands of residents and visitors for the celebration kicking off the holiday season.
