Developers in The Woodlands are planning a 66-acre commercial real estate project on Lake Woodlands they say will have “panoramic lake views,” a “boardwalk and pier.” That’s in addition to as many as eight office buildings, a boutique hotel, shops, entertainment venues and multi-family housing.

The Woodlands Development Co., a subsidiary of the Howard Hughes Corp., said it will start construction on the first office building in the project this fall. Gensler designed the eight-story building with about 195,000 square feet.
