The Woodlands once again celebrates the tradition of the World of Holiday Trees thanks to generous support from CenterPoint Energy. The students at Smith Elementary of Tomball ISD collaborated to create 20 trees depicting holiday traditions from around the world. The trees were presented at the recent International Winter On The Waterway (iWOW) and continue to be on display their school through mid December.
“CenterPoint Energy is pleased to continue our support of this outstanding event,” said Chris Oliver of CenterPoint Energy. “The elaborately decorated trees continue to dazzle us each year.”
Students at Smith Elementary researched holiday customs to create ornaments for the trees representing countries around the world. The trees represented 15 countries including Argentina, Germany, England, Russia and others.
“Our students, parents, teachers and facility were thrilled to participate in the World of Holiday Trees program and look forward to partnering again next year.” Letty Roman, Principal of Smith Elementary School said.
