THE WOODLANDS, TX (April 23, 2015) – The Woodlands Township invites the community to Celebrate Every Drop at the second annual WaterFest Saturday, May 9, 2015, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Northshore Park, 2505 Lake Woodlands Drive, The Woodlands, Texas, 77382.
The fun, magical, festive and watery WaterFest will offer attendees the ability to experience interactive hands-on activities and learn while having fun. Activities include discovering your water footprint, learning techniques to build your own aquifer and watershed, running through a stormwater obstacle course, visiting a groundwater demonstration module, enjoying free kayak rides and more.
WaterFest will also feature Brook Rivers and his show Water, Water Everywhere, a presentation that is equal parts magic, theater and circus. The show delivers a timely message in a fun-filled way that entertains both children and adults alike. Festival patrons will learn about water conservation, the hydro cycle, point and non-point source pollution and more. Georgia Water Festival voted the Brook Rivers show “Best of Fest” six years in a row.
Each attendee will also receive a free water bottle while supplies last. With all the free entertainment and educational activities, this free, family event is not to be missed. In addition, the Water-Wise Village Challenge winning villages will be announced at the event.
