The Woodlands TX Robards gets my number one vote for restaurant in The Woodlands with the best ambience. I walk in the door and I’m immediately relaxed. They have a welcoming bar with a grown up feel. The restaurant area is beautifully decorated with a stunning wall length fireplace. The view is of the golf course and the dining room exudes upscale elegance and special date night. The food is excellent as well. The bar offers a number of creative specialty cocktails. I am slightly addicted to the bleu cheese stuffed olives they add to some martinis. The Texas Pear Margarita is different and habit forming. Robards is known as a steakhouse but their seafood is outstanding and is what I order every time. Robards has some of the best and unique appetizers around. The seafood Tower and the seafood cocktail flight are WOW appetizers that are great for sharing. They wow with flavor and presentation. The seafood guacaviche, featuring shrimp and scallops is amazing and my personal favorite. The steaks are in house dry aged and are expertly cooked and prepared. The tender filet medallions Oscar has a velvety béarnaise sauce with crab and asparagus. They have an impressive wine list and a great selection of reds to complement any steak. My favorite entree is the sea bass which is flavorful and cooked to perfection. It is pan seared and served with crab meat and a bacon wrapped scallop. The truffle parmesan risotto, creamed spinach, and lobster macaroni are my favorite sides. I always enjoy those from my to-go box the next day!
