A Japanese client just told me that TV Japan is going to be made available in Houston through Comcast.  I just called Comto verify and they said it will be a couple more months before it's available, but maybe April or May?  It will be channel 584 and will cost $24.99/month.  Call Comand ask if you're interested: 1-888-226-2278.  Thanks, Terada san, for the info! 

UPDATE 9/15/2012:  TV Japan is officially here via Comcast.  Avoid the super expensive and very ridiculous NON-REFUNDABLE deposit AT&T Uverse charges by going with Comcast.  Comwill charge a deposit but it is much more reasonable AND it is refundable after one year of on time payments.

When the Comservice man comes to your house, make sure you ask him to SHOW YOU HOW to use the remote control and change channels.  WRITE IT DOWN!  After he leaves, if you don't know how to work your remote control, it will be hard to get help.  Thanks, Meida san, for the advice!
