Rental Rates in Houston are HIGH

Today's Houston Chronicle reports that rental rates in Houston are so high, they have actually increased at twice the national rate, since last year. The national rent average increased about 2.6% from last year, and Houston increased double that amount, rising about 5.1% since 2013. That is a very sharp increase. Not only have the rent rates increased quickly, they are now about 9% more expensive than the national average for two bedroom apartments.
Hopefully companies will recognize that Houston apartment rents are not cheap like they used to be, and increase their employees' budgets!
