Last month, I travelled with 5 other Houston board members to Chicago, IL for the AREAA Luxury Summit convention.  It was a great 3 days of networking with other Asian American realtors from all over the United States and the world!  I met a few real estate agents from Tokyo, Japan who are interested in introducing their Japanese investors to our Houston market!  Some properties older than 22 years old can be depreciated over 4 years under Japanese tax code (unlike the U.S. where it is depreciated over 27.5 years no matter how old the property is).
