2015 had the second highest levels of all time, behind 2014, in single family home sales.  Comparing overall 2014 with overall 2015, Houston saw average home prices go UP an average of 3.7%, with median home prices going UP 6.5%.  Overall, slightly fewer homes were sold in Houston in 2015 compared to 2014 (down 2.4%).

Comparing Dec 2014 with Dec 2015, we saw the market s-l-o-w down.  Total number of homes sold dropped nearly 10%, while total number of homes sitting on the market grew significantly to +18.7%.  With these numbers, it is shocking to report that prices still stay very strong!  Comparing Dec 2014 average sales prices with Dec 2015 average sales price, Houston homes actually went UP again...another 2.9%!
