Selling? These Remodeling Jobs Aren't Worth the Cost.

Despite how popular they are on TV and to homeowners, bathroom remodels have some of the smallest returns at resale, when compared to other home remodeling projects. 

A report recently released by the National Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of the Remodeling Industry indicates which reno jobs have the largest and smallest returns when it comes time to sell. 

The report established that putting in a new roof or refinishing hardwood floors were great returns at resale. So which of the 20 projects that were surveyed had the smallest returns on investment?

Bathroom addition

Master suite addition

Closet renovation

Bathroom renovation

New wood-frame windows
