December was a busy month in Sugar Land. The year end has traditionally been my busiest time as many corporate relocations have been decided and families need to make a move over the holiday period. It can be the best time of year to have your home listed as many sellers will take their home off the market, leaving less inventory.
Har just reported the following:
"pending sales still posted a relatively strong 642 pending sales, an increase of 32.6 percent from last year's mark of 484. During the last three months there have been 4.4 percent fewer pending sales than there was during the same period the year prior."
I sold this home in December in the very popular Sugar Land neighborhood of Lakes of Austin Park for just over $100 per square foot, 17 days on the market with multiple offers, demonstrating that a well maintained home in a desirable neighborhood still sells quickly at a good price.
