It may be togh economic times for builders, but Newmark Homes stepped up to the plate with a donation.

"Newmark Homes has announced a major gift to The 100 Club Survivors Fund in honor of fallen Fort Bend County Deputy Sheriff John Norsworthy.

On Friday, Mike Moody, president of Newmark Homes Houston, announced the company is donating $30,000 to the fund in Norsworthy’s memory.

Norsworthy, 39, was laid to rest Saturday. He died last Tuesday after being hospitalized for a week for injuries sustained in an on-duty auto accident that occurred while Norsworthy was enroute to assist another deputy who was making a felony traffic stop."
