Looks like the State Legislature has placed the SALE of the Sugar Land prison on a fast track as a means of raising much needed state revenue. The city of Sugar Land has long had a desire to use the property for airport expansion, thus increasing city revenue. Great news for the city; not so great for Telfair residents whose homes sit under the flight path! The additional prison property would most likely accomodate a much needed business park.
