Sugar Land City Council is moving forward to approve this high density apartment development at the enrty to Telfair, located on a prime lake-front parcel across from the custom home section. The parcel was previously zoned as R-1 Single family homes.
The photo is the 277 unit San Antigua property built by Sueba, the same developer requesting approval to build this same structure at Telfair but larger, approval for 400 units. City Council ignored the 1500+ registered voter petition signatures opposing multi family development and they ignored the City Comprehensive Plan and multi family zoning limiting apartments to 200 units, 2 1/2 stories.
City Council discussion never addressed resident concerns, but focused on whether sidewalks should be 10ft vs. 6ft.
