VOTE NO TO INCREASED SUGAR LAND TAXES, NOV 5 2013

October 24th, 2013

In 2008, Sugar Land voters, myself included, voted in favor of a self funded Cultural Entertainment District that included a festival site. The City used the 2008 vote to build an entirely different and fractured development. Now they are asking voters to pay the cost. The projects are cetainly quality of life enhancing, but taxpayers should not be the funding source. We have a beautiful city with acres of parks and bike trails; let's not take Sugar Land on the path of unecessary spending and tax increases. Our low tax rate and superior quality of life bring residents to our community.
