Telfair Urban Development a Safety Issue?

Is building a high density urban development just yards from the Brazos River a wise decision in light of so many recent floods in the immediate area? The Telfair Developers seem to think so. I feel we need more time to assess this proposal. The Fort Bend Independent Newspaper wrote an excellent article summarizing the recent public meeting.
