Walls - Edit and remove extra furniture, buyers like to to see the walls.  Most buyers are looking for space so show it to them.

Drapes - Take down dark drapes. Let the light in. Light and bright sells homes. Bringing light into your home gives the feeling of space as well as a crisp clean appearance.

Lighting - Use brighter bulbs in task area’s like the kitchen, bathrooms, closets, laundry, garage and reading areas.  Replace dated fixtures.

Paint -  Do you need to repaint your home? It depends, when was the last time you painted? If you are getting ready to paint your home and plan on selling in the near future, this is what I would suggest ➤➤➤Paint walls in neutral colors to attract more buyers. If you like color and who doesn’t, add pops of color with accessories like pillows, throws, shades, and vases.

Floors - Some people think that they are selling a used home and not everything needs to be perfect. It is true that no one expects a new house, but buyers want move in ready and dirty carpet and floors can be a turn off.

Closets - Remove extra clothes that you are not wearing. If a buyer sees a crowded closet they will feel that the closet does not have enough space.

Clean - Make sure your home is cleaner than clean. I have had buyers turn around and walk out because they thought the house was dirty. The impression is that if the house is dirty, it is not well cared for.

Odors - I have animals and I love them like they are my kids, but strong odors can keep your house from being sold. We become immune to the odors in our own home. Trust me when I say, visitors pick up odors really fast and some have the feeling that it will never come out if it gets into the wood.
