CRIME ALERT - ROBBERY

An employee of a resident was robbed at 08:40 this morning (September 14, 2010) in the driveway of a residence on Shadder Way, just off the 1000 block of Kirby Drive. The employee was returning to the residence from a trip to a local bank at the intersection of Kirby Drive and San Felipe.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6', 200 pounds, bald head and about 26 years of age. The suspect was driving a grey Infinity - older model, 4 doors with a paper tag. The suspect drove his vehicle onto the resident's driveway and demanded money from the employee. The suspect claimed to have a gun but none was shown. The suspect is known to have followed the employee home from the drive-thru window at the bank. According to information provided at the scene, this is the SECOND such robbery from that location in the last week.

All residents and their employees are strongly urged to be very aware of their surroundings especially when visiting financial institutions. Watch for any vehicle that may be following - circle the block and check frequently for any suspicious vehicle. As always, call the River Oaks Patrol at 713-622-0001 should any such activity be witnessed immediately.
