Suspicious Powder Mailed to 7 HISD Campuses

October 21st, 2010


On October 8 and Oct 11, seven HISD campuses including Bellaire High School and Briarmeadow Elementary School, were mailed envelopes containing suspicious white powder. School officials reported this to authorities and Houston health lab tests showed the powder was non-toxic and possibly cornstarch. The FBI, Houston Fire Department HazMat and HISD police are investigating the threats.
