New Home Starts

With every 1.7 jobs created, there is demand for 1 new house to be built. With Texas having created 70% of all jobs in the USA in 2008, we are looking good for new home starts. The GHBA (Greater Houston Builder's Association) projects to build 26,223 homes in 2009. Also, Houston saw a historic high for a median home sales price in June 2009.
