CRIME ALERT - BURGLARY
A residence in the 3700 block of Olympia was burglarized on Tuesday, February 23rd at approximately 3:30pm. The suspect(s) gained entry to the residence by breaking a window in a rear door with a brick. Taken in the burglary was a decorative box containing personal items and a small amount of foreign currency. The resident was not at home at the time of the burglary and the alarm system was activated. Responding River Oaks and Houston Police units arrived within two minutes of dispatch but the suspect(s) was gone. There is currently no suspect(s) description available.
It is recommended that all residents utilize their alarm systems continuously and further all residents should verify that their alarm systems are properly communicating with their designated monitoring stations. To test a system monitored directly by the River Oaks Patrol, simply call the dispatcher at 713-622-0001 and advise that you would like to conduct a test. The dispatcher will walk you through the process.
As always, all residents are encouraged to immediately notify the River Oaks Patrol should anything suspicious be observed in the area.
