As a resident in Avalon, I am constantly going out of my way (albeit only a few blocks) to get around the current road construction on Bellmeade. Currently Bellmeade between San Felipe and Ella Lee has been repaved. We are down to one lane on Bellmeade between Ella Lee and Westheimer. Driving across Bellmeade (east or west) from Ella Lee to Westheimer is hit or miss depending on where the trucks. And if you get across, it will be extremely bumpy and dusty.
