CRIME ALERT - ARMED ROBBERY - Saturday, March 20, 2010
Two River Oaks residents were robbed at gun point early this morning in two separate incidents. In both cases, the residents were out for an early morning walk. The first robbery occurred at the intersection of Inwood and Chilton shortly after 7am. The second occurred moments later in the 2100 block of Brentwood. After robbing the two residents, the suspects fled the area and committed at least one additional robbery east of South Shepherd.
The suspects were driving a 4 door, gold colored, small Plymouth sedan. The windows were tinted and it is reported that one of the side mirrors is broken. The vehicle has a partial license plate of "BKG" or possibly "BK6" with the remaining numbers or letters unknown. The suspects are described as black males in their late 20's or early 30's. They were armed with a pistol.
Houston Police and River Oaks officer are currently searching for the suspects. Residents need to be very careful. It is recommended that you do not walk or exercise without a partner. Further, remain away from the street. Utilize the sidewalk and be very aware of any suspicious vehicle that might be following you. Carry your cell phone.
