Rice Military Railroad Quiet Zone

The Rice Military Civic Club has been actively pursuing a quiet zone for the railroad that travels just noth of Washington. Mr. Weatherford is the City of Houston official handling the implementation of the Washington Avenue Quiet Zone. Weatherford recently said that "The RailRoad Commission had never seen a proposed project with virtually no negative public response."  The Quiet Zone is scheduled be in place and active on May 22. Now the neighborhood only has to deal with the noise from all the bars on Washington.
